The John Ambane Oval in Minj, Jiwaka will host its 3rd Digicel Cup fixture for this season when Wamp Nga Mt Hagen Eagles take on Gas Resources Ltd Central Dabaris in Round 11 of the regular season proper competition this Saturday September 19, 2020 at 2.00pm. PNG National Rugby League Competitions (NRLC) Manager Stanley Hondina said the venue staff and the Minj people had shown great support and co-operation in complying with the Banis Protocols in the past two games held there.“Taking this final season proper round game to Minj shows our appreciation for the fantastic work and commitment the people in Minj have shown towards our premier rugby league competition during this difficult season,” Hondina said. He said a Triple header will be played at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby this Sunday September 20, 2020 to end the shortened 2020 Digicel Cup season. “At 12.00 noon will see Kroton Hela Wigmen take on PRK Gulf Isou, at 2.00pm, JPG Waghi Tumbe play Agmark Rabaul Gurias and at 4.00pm will be the clash between Moni Plus NCDC Pom Vipers and Lae Snax Tigers,” Hondina said. He added a submission for spectators to return and watch games is with the Controller of National Pandemic Office. “We hope to have a favourable response back from the Controller’s Office in the next few days for fans to attend and watch games in Port Moresby as we head into the finals series after this weekend,” Hondina said. He said the Double Header in Lae this Sunday September 20, 2020 will see KImbe Cutters take on PRK Mendi Muruks at 1.00pm followed by EPG Enga Mioks versus Bintangor Goroka Lahanis at 3.15pm.
